Libyan Center for Research and Actuarial Studies Participates in the 2025 Arab Actuarial Conference in Algeria

The Libyan Center for Research and Actuarial Studies delegation participated in the 2025 Arab Actuarial Conference, held in Algiers, Algeria, from July 8 to 10, 2025, under the theme “Towards Resilient Societies.”

The delegation representing the Libyan Social Security Fund included:

  • Mr. Ayman Saeed Al-Meshiti
  • Mr. Mabrouk Faraj Al-Majdoub
  • Ms. Salma Mohammed Al-Saeiti
  • Ms. Najlaa Suleiman Al-Houti

During the conference, the Centre presented a scientific paper titled:
“Challenges to Achieving the Sustainability of Social Security Systems and Prospects for Development Based on Based on findings from active life tables.”

The conference addressed key issues related to the role of actuarial professionals in supporting the sustainability of insurance, pension, and healthcare systems. It placed particular emphasis on future challenges in the context of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.

Additionally, the event highlighted the latest advancements in financial and actuarial risk management across the Arab region. The conference brought together a distinguished group of actuarial experts, insurance and pension professionals, financial sector specialists, and policymakers from across the Arab world.
